top 50 UNIVERSITies under 50 YEARS OLd by qs RANKINGs: SANT’ANNA school ranked 11th worldwide, 4th in europe and 1st in italy

Based on the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings 2019 the QS Quacquarelli & Symonds Top 50 Under 50 celebrates fast-developing young universities around the world. This year’s edition confirms the continued growth of Sant’Anna School. Sant’Anna School is consistently ranked (11th) among the world's best universities. This year, Sant’Anna is the only Italian university featured in the Top 50 Under 50 and is challenging the key players in Europe higher education space as it is ranked 4th in Europe. Each ranking has its own methodology based on academic research performance and Sant’Anna School can claim the 9th spot also in the UK “Times Higher Education” rankings.

The 2019 edition of the QS Top 50 Under 50 rankings was released in early June 2018. It confirms the continued progress of Asian leading young institutions: Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Hong Kong), and Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology. While Asian institutions dominate the very top of the ranking, Europe, North America and Australia have also a strong presence, accounting for half of the top 50.

According to the QS data analysts, the universities that rank the highest in the best world universities rankings are those that emphasize academic research to produce highly cited articles, including patents citations and the international student outcomes such as graduation and retention rates.
